Police sent notice to the makers of ‘The Diary of West Bengal’ as soon as the trailer was released

Kolkata Police has sent summons to director Sanoj Mishra after the trailer release of ‘The Diary of West Bengal’. In the notice, Director Sanoj Mishra has been told that it is necessary to meet the additional officer in charge of the police station before May 30. Responding to this legal notice, the director has said that the film is fact-based. He also expressed concern that he might be taken into custody by the Bengal police and arrested and killed in jail. But he wants to tell that his intention is not at all to tarnish the image of the state.

He said, “I have made a fact-based movie. I ask the PM and the Home Minister to take cognizance of this matter. Cases of murders, rapes and exodus of Hindus are increasing in West Bengal. I have done complete research. The entire film is based on facts.” He has said about this, “Once I go to West Bengal, I will not come back. I am being implicated in a false case. They have implicated me in such sections as if I am a criminal or a terrorist. However, I have completed all the necessary preparations for the movie which is slated to release by August. He said, “I have to see that this film is released.”

The news says that in The Diary of West Bengal movie, the growing influence of Rohingya Muslims and Bangladeshi fundamentalists in Bengal has also been shown. The complaint has come after the trailer of the film because it showed that the state government is supporting the illegal infiltration. The trailer also mentions the incident of 2013 when 200 Hindu houses were set on fire. Along with which it was also shown how Mamata Banerjee is against the implementation of CAA and NRC in the state.
